Ordering and payment

At Karamel Kompagniet you can order your items online and pay with MobilePay, Apple Pay, Dankort, Visa or Mastercard. The money will be deducted from your account when the items are shipped from the store.

Your order is complete when your payment is approved and your screen shows a receipt. You are then bound by your order (see below under "right of withdrawal"). You will subsequently receive an order confirmation by email.

Delivery

Delivery fee is added to the order, the price varies in relation to the selected delivery method. Karamel Kompagniet provides delivery by freight company to the desired parcel shop/address/business address. It is also possible to pick up the package yourself at our store in Rønne. Our delivery time is 1-4 business days. Longer delivery time may occur in connection with campaigns and special offers.

Newsletter

If you have signed up for the newsletter, you consent to us contacting you by email with newsletters and offers. We process your email address and the information about your purchases with us until it is no longer relevant. In practice, this means until you inform us that you no longer wish to receive emails from us.

You can always withdraw your consent. You can do this either by using the link at the bottom of our emails or by contacting us at mail@karamelkompagniet.dk and stating that you no longer wish to receive our newsletters and offers.

Personal information

Overall, it is important for us to point out that NO personal information registered with Karamel Kompagniet will at any time be transferred, sold or made available to third parties. All information is stored securely and is only accessible to trusted employees at Karamel Kompagniet.

In connection with any electronic payment, we do NOT store any credit card information for security reasons. Only at the time of payment will financial information be transferred to PBS to a certain extent. This is done with maximum security measures via an encrypted SSL connection according to PBS regulations. The transaction is handled via DanDomain, which complies with the applicable security requirements at all times.

The shop system uses cookies to manage the contents of the shopping cart. A cookie is the name of a file that is stored on your own PC. It is also possible to ask the system to save your own address information for your next visit. If you wish to delete this information at a later time, this can be done via the browser settings.

During a purchase, we ask for your name/company name, address, telephone number, email address, CVR number and payment information. This information is used exclusively for processing the order. The information is transmitted and stored electronically at Karamel Kompagniet A/S in unencrypted form, and is stored for 5 years after which the information is deleted. The "contract" itself (purchase agreement) is not stored at Karamel Kompagniet. In addition, we register the IP address from which any purchase is made - the information is normally of no use, but can be used in a possible police investigation.

If you have ordered delivery, the information about your name, address, telephone number and email address will be provided to our shipping company, currently GLS, for the purpose of delivering your purchases.

Data security

Regardless of whether we process your personal data for the purpose of fulfilling a contract or based on your consent, we will always process your personal data securely and confidentially in accordance with applicable legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act.

Your information will only be used for the purpose for which it was collected and will be deleted when this purpose has been fulfilled or is no longer relevant.

We use third parties to process:

  • your purchases —Uniconta
  • handling newsletters via email — Klaviyo
  • newsletter subscription and waiting list management — Klaviyo

We have entered into data processing agreements with these data processors, which is our guarantee that they comply with applicable regulations on the protection of your personal data.

No right of withdrawal

The following agreements cannot be cancelled:

Delivery of food, beverages or other goods for the household's current consumption, which are physically delivered to your home, residence or workplace by a trader who frequently and regularly operates fixed routes.

Complaint

The defects rules of the Danish Sales Act apply to purchases of goods.

When you shop with us as a consumer, you have a 24-month right of complaint.

If your complaint is justified, it means that you can either have the item repaired, exchanged, your money back or a discount on the price, depending on the specific situation.

You must make a complaint within a “reasonable time” after you have discovered the fault. If you make a complaint within two months after the fault is discovered, the complaint will always be timely.

If the complaint is justified, we will refund your (reasonable) shipping costs. The item must always be returned in proper packaging, and remember to get a receipt for shipping so that we can refund your shipping costs.

When returning the item, please include a detailed description of the problem.

You are welcome to attach a picture of the item.

If we are unable to find a solution, you can file a complaint with Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg via www.naevneneshus.dk. You can also use the EU Commission's online complaint portal , which will mainly be relevant if you are a consumer residing outside Denmark.

RIGHT OF CANCELATION

According to the Danish Sales Act, you cannot exercise your right of withdrawal when buying food online. This means that you cannot cancel all or part of your purchase.


PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA – FULFILLMENT OF CONTRACT

In connection with your purchase from Karamel Kompagniet, you have entered a number of personal information, including in particular:

  • Your payment information

We process this personal data in connection with the processing of your purchase, as it is necessary for us to fulfill our part of the transaction, and accounting material must, according to legislation, be stored for 5 years. After that, the information will be deleted.

SHIPPING

We pack our goods securely in sturdy cardboard boxes. Should you receive a damaged package, please contact us as soon as possible, no later than the day after receipt. Remember to note any damage on the waybill. Our shipments are sent as packages and can therefore be easily tracked by the shipping company.

INGREDIENTS

All our products are correctly labeled with ingredient lists and date stamps in accordance with applicable legislation.

STORAGE OF CARAMEL

The best possible way to store our caramels is in outer packaging (cardboard box, box or airtight container) at a temperature between +10 - +15 degrees and at a maximum of 50% relative humidity. The shelf life of our caramels is 12 months from the date of production.

LICORICE AND OTHER GOODS

The goods we import are from small producers, and carefully selected according to good and noble craftsmanship principles.

OFFERS AND SALES

Offers are only valid for Karamel Kompagniet A/S for 30 days after submission or as stated. All prices are exclusive of VAT and local taxes, as well as any customs duties.

SPECIAL TASKS

For special productions, printing, etc., Karamel Kompagniet A/S reserves the right to over/underdeliver by +/- 15%.

DELIVERY TIME AND DELAYS

The stated delivery time is based on Karamel Kompagniet A/S's best estimate, but is not binding on Karamel Kompagniet A/S and delays do not entitle the customer to cancel the order before the delivery deadline has been exceeded by 20 days. Cancellation is the customer's only remedy for breach of contract and the customer cannot therefore make any claim for damages against Karamel Kompagniet A/S in the event of delay or failure to deliver.

CREDIT INFORMATION

Karamel Kompagniet A/S reserves the right to seek information about the customer from, among other things, RKI or other similar credit information agencies.

SHIPPING

All orders are delivered ex-factory and shipped at the customer's risk, unless otherwise agreed.

DEFECTS AND DEFECTS

Complaints must be made immediately after the defect has been discovered, but no later than 3 days after receipt of the goods. If the complaint is made too late, the customer forfeits all rights to complain. If the complaint is deemed justified and Karamel Kompagniet A/S makes a remedy, the shipping costs will be at Karamel Kompagniet A/S's expense and risk. However, it is always the recipient's responsibility to store the caramels at a maximum of 50% relative humidity and at a temperature between +10 - +15 degrees.

CANCELLATION AND CANCELLATION

In the event of the customer's unjustified withdrawal from/cancellation of a concluded agreement, Karamel Kompagniet A/S is entitled - at its own discretion - to demand that all costs in connection with the order be covered. Return of goods can only be made in the event of a defective delivery and then only after prior agreement. When returning the delivery, the customer must ensure proper packaging and packing of the goods. If the goods are damaged upon arrival at Karamel Kompagniet A/S, Karamel Kompagniet A/S will not reimburse the damaged goods.

COMPENSATION

Except in cases where Karamel Kompagniet A/S or its employees have acted intentionally or have shown gross negligence, the customer is prohibited from making claims for compensation other than what is authorized in the above provisions. Karamel Kompagniet A/S is never liable for operating losses, loss of profit, loss of time, loss of interest or other indirect loss. Karamel Kompagniet A/S's liability for compensation can never exceed the price of the goods. The customer also loses his right to assert liability if the customer does not complain in writing to Karamel Kompagniet A/S as soon as the customer is or should have been aware of the existence of Karamel Kompagniet A/S's possible liability for compensation.

FORCE MAJEURE

Furthermore, all sales and offers are subject to force majeure, which may include; strike, lockout, operational disruptions, war, import and export bans, as well as all other circumstances, here and abroad, over which Karamel Kompagniet A/S has no influence.

EXCESSION OF PAYMENT TERMS

If payment terms are exceeded, 2.0% interest will be calculated per month commenced and a reminder fee of DKK 100.00 per reminder.

RETENTION OF PROPERTY

The delivered goods remain the property of Karamel Kompagniet A/S until the full purchase price has been paid.

JURISDICTION AND CHOICE OF LAW

Any disputes between the parties will be settled by the ordinary courts, with the court in Copenhagen as the first instance. The parties' agreement is subject to Danish law.

OTHER REGULATION

The Danish International Sales Act No. 733 of 7 December 1988 is not applicable between the parties. The conditions also take precedence over the declaratory provisions in both national and international law.
